WHAT IS MAINLY MUSIC?

Mainly Music is a worldwide programme, all about young children and their
mums or caregivers enjoying music together.

A recent documentary on SBS television reported on how music can enhance a young child's development. Involvement in music assists with co-ordination, motor skills, maths, pre-reading and language development, social skills and so much more!

The classes are a great opportunity for parents and carers to give young children from birth to five years of age a head start in music. There is singing, dancing, creative movement to music, and hands on fun with musical instruments and other exciting teaching aids.  There is also the opportunity to think about the God part of life.

There are Mainly Music groups throughout Australia, New Zealand, the USA, UK and the rest of the world.

In  Narooma, the group is run by Rev. Carol Wagner, who is a conservatorium trained music specialist with more than 30 years experience in music education, assisted by volunteers Juliet Field, Mary Hogge, Sue Jones, Di Mezzino, Di Morgan and Thea Yates.

The last Mainly Music session for 2013 was heaps of fun!  We met in the St Paul's hall and enjoyed a music session with a  Christmas focus.  Then the children then listened to a story, which was followed by a very special Christmas morning tea,Christmas gifts  and playtime.
2014 promises to be an exciting year, with the introduction of a toy library in term 1.

Donations of good used toys are now being sought!  Please contact Sue Jones (4476 4451) or
